OSWALD AND JAMES JACOBY SERVICE AWARD

TO: PRESIDENTS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF ALL UNITS IN DISTRICT 16

RE: NOMINATIONS FOR THE OSWALD AND JAMES JACOBY SERVICE AWARD FOR 2001

Each year District 16 selects from the many dedicated volunteers whose hard work supports the District one member to receive the Oswald and James Jacoby Service Award. The last issue of the Scorecard had a description of the guidelines for the award.

If your Unit wishes to nominate a special person in District 16 who has served diligently at the Unit level and who has risen to recognition at the District level after many years of outstanding service, please send the nominee’s name to the Jacoby Award Committee. Include a brief personal sketch and a description of the way the nominee has served his/her Unit and District 16. Your nominee may but need not be a member of your Unit. Nominations must be received by the Committee by July 1, 2001.

This year’s award will be presented on Saturday before the evening session at the Dallas Labor Day Regional on August 29 thru September 3, 2001. Please keep your nomination a secret, as surprise is an important part of the Award presentation.
