2011 Grand National Teams
Superflight
Five teams entered the Superflight. On Saturday, they played a Swiss to reduce the number of teams to four. These four teams survived the first round:
- Gary King, Donna Compton, Mark Bumgardner, and Bill Staats
- Ira Chorush, Bob Hamman, Hemant Lall, Bart Bramley, and Chris Hamman
- Dan Morse, Eddie Wold, Robert Morris, Greg Hinze, Ira Hessel, and Nagy Kamel
- Shawn Quinn, Joe Quinn, Mildred Breed, Petra Hamman, and Phillip Grothus

On Sunday, those four teams played a knockout to determine the winners with the Chorush team prevailing over the Morse team in the finals. Congratulations!

Flight A
Twelve teams entered the event. On Saturday they played in two sections of six teams, each playing five rounds of eleven boards to reduce the field to these four teams:
- Daniel Suty, Guss Ginsburg, Anton (Tony) Haddad, and Mike Doyle
- Anthony Bianchi, Jeremy Fournier, Mitch Towner, and Robert Whitcher
- Jack Balter, Victor Sitton, Carolyn Pinto, and Pat McMullin
- Melody Euler, Marilyn Arnold, Patricia Lozano, and Tomi FitzGerald
On Sunday, those four teams faced off in a knockout event, with the semi-finals played in the afternoon and the finals in the evening.

Flight B
Twenty thee teams entered the event. On Saturday a Swiss with six rounds of eight boards were played to reduce the number of teams to eight. These teams qualified for the final round:
- Pamela Wiegmann, R Wiegmann, Peter Hudson, and David Farris
- Charles Burke, Caron Peck, Margot Hirsch, and Edwina Corn
- Paul Cuneo, Charles Ensor, Birendra BK Singh, and Carmen Keys
- Jim Harp, Margaret Raymond, Jeff Dater, and Judith Lotridge
- Melanie Watson, David Sauder, Jane Hopkins, and Ruby Hill
- Wiley McMinn III, Lawton Hutchison, Joe Black, Dean Truair
- Bob Wilkin, David Goldfarb, Harry Elliott, and Kevin Cline
- Thomas Trudeau, Hank Eng, Jerrold Harrington, and Cecelia Zachar

On Sunday the eight qualfying teams faced off in a knockout format, reducing the field to four Sunday afternoon and two Sunday evening.
On Monday, the McMinn team defeated the Burke team to win Flight B. Congratulations to the winners!

Flight C
Eleven teams entered the event. On Saturday a Swiss with eight six board matches was played to reduce the field to these four teams:
- Pawel Hanus, Bogumil Knypinski, Richard Polunsky, and Brett Elliott
- Gary Wright, Audrey Wright, Jacqueline Montgomery, and Jane Larimore
- Gail Banet, Tom Banet, Robert Burton, and Dolline Burton
- Richard Langland, Richard Schemmel, Virginia Boudreau, and Karen Caton
