Darlene was born in Japan and was a lifelong resident of San Antonio. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1960. Darlene enjoyed a long fascination with the game of duplicate bridge. As an accomplished player, she attained the ranking of Emerald Life Master placing her in the top 1% of all players in the American Contract Bridge League. Darlene contributed much of her time to mentoring new players, served on her local Unit Board of Directors and was appointed to the National Goodwill Committee. She will be missed by all her many partners and competitors who admired the fervor and talent she displayed at the table. Darlene, we know you are kibitzing from above and enjoying our attempts to master the game you loved so much. She is survived by her mother, Marzelle Jones, her son and daughter-in-law Mike and Jean Goodlett along with her grandchildren, Scott and Gail.
