David Hadden passed away September 29, 2006 after a lengthy battle against cancer. Dave is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mariann M. Hadden. Dave was a devoted husband, true patriot and an expert player who won the National Men’s Pairs at the 1973 Spring Nationals. Dave always aided the unit when help was needed. He was a board member, treasurer, Winning Finesse editor and webpage administrator. Always a gentleman at the table, Dave possessed exceptional ability to take in all information before adopting a line of play. I will always cherish that single delicately raised eyebrow, the only noticeable movement, when the unusual took place.
