Our area is just like the map - flat. The only hills we have are speed bumps.
Beaumont is about 30 miles west of the Louisiana border and 30 miles north of the Gulf Coast. The area is called SE Texas or for the vicinity of Beaumont - the Golden Triangle.
It is famous for the Spindletop oil gusher, Babe Dietrichson, artists Janis Joplin, and George Jones.
I am also famous for once sluffing an Ace and reneging on the same trick. A star is born.
