Webmaster Tips
Most of us assume that all users of the Web Site feel confident when navigating the web site. For those of you that need it, help is on the way. If you are an old hand, you probably will not need to read this page, for others, you may learn a little that will aid you in enjoying our web site. Please note: An expert might use a different technique to navigate this site but I am attempting to give you the basics and you will learn the faster methods later.
Our web site is made up of several pages. Look at all of the pages and become familiar with them. The first page is referred to as the "Home" page. Some of the pages have links to other pages ,e.g, the "Home" page has links to all of our pages. By double clicking an underlined link, you will go to that location and/or page. To return to the "Home" page, click (< back) usually located on the far left of the toolbar on top of the page of your browser. Look for "Back" or the dark black arrow that points "Left". On several pages you will find a link, "Home", that will return you to the home page effortlessly. Learn to navigate back and forth between pages and you will begin to enjoy the site more. ("Home" is usually found at the bottom of the page). As an example, clicking "links" on the home page will take you to: ACBL.org, 16th District and others. Experiment by checking all of these links to really become familiar with all of the sites. Click Home now to go to the home page and then click "Back" on the home page and return to here. Wasn't that easy??.....
Game Scores are emailed to the webmaster by the Directors. We strive to post the results no later than 6:00 PM on the day of play. However, sometimes the webmaster will be unavailable and/or the director may be late due to extenuating circumstances. As soon as I post the scores, I will send an email to all of you on my email list.
Checking the games scores: Open our home page, cursor down to the current months's scores, e.g. "April 2006 Scores" and click on it, then look for UV [Upper Valley], LV [Lower Valley], and/or BV [South Padre/Brownsville]. If, at first, you do not get the page to open, click on "refresh".
There are other links on the "Home Page" not mentioned but please go there and look at all of them. Become better informed. Should you wish to have your email address listed so that you can receive notices on a timely basis, cursor down to the bottom of our home page and double click on "Herman Westbrook" and send me an email giving me permission to put your email on the mailing list.
